PEI Organic Forum:  2020 - An Organic Vision for PEI

With support from ACORN Network Partners, Homestead Organics and Bioenterprise Maritimes, join ACORN and the PEI COPC for an opportunity to network with Island organic stakeholders and provide your input on the direction of organics on the Island, creating a vision and action plan to move organics forward.  Coffee, tea, snacks and a light supper (soup and bread) will be provided.  This event is FREE of charge, though a $5-$10 donation would be greatly appreciated to help cover costs.  Advanced registration via RSVP to is greatly appreciated!

3:00 PM:  Introductions & Welcome (tea/coffee)
3:30 PM:  Keynote talk featuring Sebastian Manago, Global Marketing Consultant and former CEO Food Island Partnership
4:05 PM:  Practical Strategies to Execute a Vision  Hannah Bell, Executive Director PEI Business Women's Association
4:30 PM:  Facilitated discussion focused on action-planning for achieving 2020 vision
6:15 PM:  Recap of Action Plan
6:30 PM:  Serve soup and bread / Social time


  • Provide direction for your local organic organizations (Atlantic Canadian Organic Regional Network and Certified Organic Producers' Co-operative)
  • To create a space for new and experienced farmers as well as various organic community stakeholders to connect and network
  • To share ideas and perspectives on the organic sector while developing a shared action plan for the future of organics on PEI


Participants will learn of the challenges and opportunities faced by other stakeholders in the organic value chain, while also learning about the concrete actions they can take individually, or together to advance the organic sector and organic goals on the Island.
