You're passionate about organic food and farming, and have so much (or even some!) knowledge to share - why not spread the message and get others to care?

ACORN is launching a new Organic Ambassador training program to provide those like you – and other farmers, consumers, retailers and supporters of organic agriculture –  with hands-on training to be a clear voice for organics in your market and/or community.

With communications training and clear and consistent messaging on organics under your belt after this training, you will be able to dispel organic food myths, increase consumer clarity about what organic really means, and empower others with a greater understanding of important food and farming issues.

Join facilitator Corrie Melanson of See Meaning Graphic Facilitation for a half-day workshop on persuasive communication and marketing skills and become a fully trainined "Organic Ambassador."

The three-hour session will:

  • Increase your knowledge and skills in persuasive communication and marketing
  • Provide concise answers to tough questions (e.g.Is organic food really pesticide-free?) and clear, consistent messaging on organics
  • Feature networking between participants (farmers, consumers, retailers)
  • Introduce new education and awareness tools to be used in promoting organics
  • Discuss on-going engagement and outreach opportunities for trained Ambassadors
  • Empower you to generate an educated buzz about organics in your market and/or community!

Register by 12pm on February 12th and receive:

  • Half-day training
  • Lunch (starting at 12:00pm)
  • Organic Ambassador Toolkit complete with organic FAQ reference guide, a ready-to-deliver "all about organic" presentation suitable for a general public audience, and other tools to support outreach on organics (including your very own "Ask Me About Organic" button)
  • 1-2 follow-up hour-long webinar trainings (e.g. How to Deliver Good Community Presentations)
