Managing the transition to certified organic production and achieving goals such as farm profitability or constraining a part-time enterprise rest in establishing a solid foundation.  These transition foundation features are universal regardless of product, scale or situation.  Fully understanding the impacts and costs of the transition, maintaining comprehensive and useful records and developing appropriate plans are critical to your success.
