Maritime Organic Grains Network
ACORN and the Organic Agriculture Centre of Canada have started a three-year project to help boost production and information on Maritime organic grains and oilseeds. MOGN will be doing field trials in each province, offering field tours, providing workshops, collecting growing stats for the region, and promoting marketing information.
The 2007 growing statistics are now available, see the Winter 2008 MOGN newsletter:

Summer/Fall 2007
At the end of July 2007, eighteen members of the network went to Quebec on a field crop tour. Take a look at what they saw and learned.
In March 2008, we held the first Organic Grains and Oilseed Forum. There were approximately 60 people for the forum, and feedback on the day was excellent. Couldn't make it? Check out our notes from the day:
The project is funded in part by Agriculture and Agri-food Canada and the Maritime ACAAF Councils. Funding is also provided by ACORN and the OACC.
