This is the yearly event where organic farmers (and processors, retailers, chefs, customers) get together and plan how we can all collaborate to benefit organic farms in Nova Scotia.
What’s involved?

  • We’ll talk about marketing challenges and opportunities.
  • We'll talk about what we need from governement or what policies might be affecting us.
  • Such as how Perennia can address our needs as organic farmers now that Organic Specialist Av Singh has resigned.
  • Such as the release of GMO alfalfa in NS this past spring and how that’s affecting us.
  • Such as the Organic Regulation in Nova Scotia (and what the next steps with it might be).
  • And we’ll talk about anything else that needs to be talked about.

This is your chance to meet with other NS organic farmers before the craziness of the warm growing season begins and talk about the big picture of what’s going on in our province.  Where we can offer each other support and advice and talk about the things that keep us up at night.  And where we can share a good potluck meal together. Please bring a dish to share, your own serving tools and dishes.

If it ends up being a snow day, the date will be moved to Jan.19th.
